Surviving the night in the woods should be easy, as long as you don't wander too far away from camp...
Pareicopse is a survival horror experience where you're tasked with finding your camping buddy who has been gone a little too long. Navigate the woods, and stay hidden from things bumping in the night. This game was made for the Haunted PS1 game jam in a little over a month, and released for Halloween.
Tips
- If you are lost, try searching around with the Dowsing Rod Equipped.
- The Toilet Paper will make noise if thrown into a bush.
- You'll get scared of the dark easily, but be sure to manage how long you use your Lantern.
- If you run out of oil in your Lantern, keep exploring and you may be rewarded.
- If you aren't sure what button takes you back in menus, its usually ESC.

This had me on the edge of my seat! Very nice use of the lo-fi graphics to create a tense atmosphere. At first I felt the mouse sensitivity was too low, even in the highest setting, but I grew accustomed to it and I think it added to the experience, in fact haha
I love how you made the horror meter into a very visual thing, with the image getting more and more distorted as the character gets scared. At the end, when there is no light and all bets are off, it works very well!

Very nice atmospheric game, quick playthrough. easy enough to figure out mechanics and the game guides you pretty well. the minimal context helps add to the creepiness!
